“Comms, direct the group to fire upon the destroyer. Gunnery, prepare all missiles and fire as a single volley with the rest of the formation.” You calmly call out.
Whilst your force is preparing, you look over the tactical display and realize that Datz has lost another frigate, this time to a destroyer entering combat range. The weapons undoubtedly had been upgraded.
Perhaps now, beaten and bruised she’ll see reason.
“Comms, send a message directed towards Lady-Commander Datz. Inform her that if she requires assistance, she’s to follow my orders.”
Saying so, you turn to watch the missile barrage descending onto the enemy destroyer. The missile frigates behind it had also fired their volleys upon you. Luckily, your Defenders easily swat away the missiles. Meanwhile, you look on in disapproval, as a laser turret on the destroyer blows out, rocking the ship. This is what happens when you do not maintain your ships to proper standard. The shoddy construction sees your missiles pass unperturbed. With the explosive ordinance impacting, the vessel begins to break apart.
Once more looking over the tactical display, you watch as the new frigates exchange equal amounts of fire with the pirate frigates, but the superior armour, weapons, and manoeuvrability of the Fenrir-class sees them come out on top. The new design seems to be what was advertised.
“Sir, Lady-Commander Datz has responded in approval.” Says the comms officer.
With your command reasserted, once more you must determine how to carry on the battle.
You and your group:
>Focus fire on the exposed strikers,
>Move southwards, try to see if you can’t flank the enemy.
>Fire upon the ships in the dust field. It will decrease your accuracy, but hopefully it will be enough to swing the battle in your favour.

>Keep her in place. She may as well be the bait.
>Order her to retreat behind Test Group 19.

Test group 19
>Sweep away the Defenders and hit the Striker group.
>Concentrate fire on the Destroyer. With the field giving you cover; missile barrages are not the biggest threat.
>Intercept the frigates directly behind the destroyer. Their speed must be neutralized.
