TalOS shook his head as he heard those words, “Do not be ashamed to call upon the Federation for support Brother. I will have a few Chapters of Proelitor, Skitarii, and a few Titans stationed upon Xana for its defence by the Mechanicum. If you think more is needed then you only need to call upon it.”
“I do not need it. With the time I have and how mighty my walls shall be; I will succeed.” Pertuarbo’s mind and words were matched to one another as he gave a mighty boast of confidence.
“I see, then I look forward to seeing your accomplishments brother.” TalOS said as he shined a smile. As a grin appeared TalOS extended his hand towards Pertuarbo as a show of comradery.
It was there that TalOS could feel a tinge of confusion go through his brother. It was as if a series of emotions were swelling in and throughout his mind that was causing a deep disconnect between each of his thoughts. TalOS studied it, giving it to a Machine Spirit for analysis, and the result came to what he should rightfully fear.
Paranoia.
That by TalOS giving a simple handshake his brother felt immense worry that TalOS would kill him here and now.
With that TalOS drew back his hand and decided instead to give a laugh. His brother suddenly snapped out of his deranged thoughts as the voice of TalOS reached. TalOS could feel a small force of shame swelling within his brother as comprehension of what just happened struck.
“I need to return to my Legion.” Perturabo said as he quickly turned about and made his leave.
There was no reason to pursue the Iron Warrior Primarch, TalOS determined. It was a little saddening seeing him run away the moment an error was made in social communication. Would this be a running theme TalOS did not know, but he will see.
For now TalOS needed to make his way back to Lucius and assign a few Battalions to Xana.
