With a sudden flash of pain- the Blonde's knife slips between your knife and your thumb, cutting into the sensitive webbing skin and ligaments of your hand. There is a quick, sharp pain, and hot blood that pours down your wrist.

The panic in his voice makes you feel like he really didn't mean to do that- he seems afraid that he hurt you. But you still feel like he was being too rough with you. I mean, you've never even simulated a duel before, and he's playing with a knife that close to your hand. Bastard.
But as the burning sensation sets into your hand, clutching it, you can feel tears start to well up in your eyes.

You can't humiliate yourself like this. You need to be a big girl. But it hurts so bad. You can't stop yourself from crying and whimpering. Would any of these <span class="mu-i">boys</span> be doing that from a little cut?

You feel, very strongly, you do not want to ever experience that again. Is this really it? A little pain, a little struggle, and your dream comes crashing down? Didn't you want to be the <span class="mu-i">Goddess</span> of the Hegemony? A few minutes of being dominated by a man's skill and strength, a wayward cut, and you're already giving up?
Your mind shifts moment to moment between a sort of self loathing and an anger towards this young blonde who cut your hand. You feel they're both at fault for this- or perhaps its your whole society. Even worse, the other boys in here can hear your blubbering. Do you think they have any respect for you now? What are you going to do?
