>>5290517Lastly, for those CF anons who may be disappointed, I want to stress again that this vote was mostly to determine the “flavor” of the world we go in. I know some anons have mentioned the idea of us being on the opposite side of the Professor. While an interesting idea, ultimately I decided against it. I had set out from the beginning wanting to center this quest around someone who had just been caught up in the storm of Three Houses and the war, and how they fare in it. I believe putting Blair on the opposite side to that would ultimately end with having to massively change some lore around. That’s not what I wanted to do. There’s no future where Blair kills Byleth and Edie and assumes the throne for herself.
Rather, I wanted to tell a different side-story, taking place during the same time. I know a lot of the CF bros were hoping to see some of the lore that gets ignored in the game be expanded on. That’s still the plan, regardless of the route. The Agarthans are an example that I think have come up pretty frequently already. Who are they? Are they really all bland, insane mole people? Or do they have factions, vying against each other, with different goals in mind? Did you know they worship a pantheon of gods? The lore exists for that in-game, but is never extrapolated on other than the main Slitherers being Saturday morning cartoon villains. Rest assured, I still on plan on doing my best to try and fill in some of the color that’s missing or only briefly mentioned in the game. I don’t want Part 2 of this to be another retelling of the game’s story, but rather be it’s own unique thing for everyone to enjoy.
Thank you again for following along and playing! I had a feeling this vote would be a popular one, but never expected it to get so many replies and discussion! For those of you who are lurking in the shadows and reading along, not really voting, thank you for sticking through, and I hope you play every now and then!
Regular update coming tomorrow.
