What was once a clear Night where the moon lit the battlefield was quickly replaced with a storm beyond anything the people of Mars had witnessed. Lightning crossed the sky as the collection of water particles had energized the air once again for thousands of years. Not even the time of when the Emperor stepped upon the planet did such a raging storm appear.
Confusion reigned as the horde of hereteks found their steps quickly becoming mud and falling into what were unintentional traps scattered across all the fields. The Defenders looked up in wonder not firing upon their damned foe for they wondered just what was happening around them.
<span class="mu-i">Why was it raining?</span>
Such a thought plagued the minds of everyone. The Defenders of the Holy Ground slowly realized just what was happening when the sky above them parted. They all looked upon upon the stars above to see a single star fall among their ranks with grave and elegance. As it descended the storms raged all around with no sign of stopping for the presence of the one who called it to be.
At the tip of Olympus it arrived, at the same location the Emperor did so long ago. It was a size of a Primarch and had golden wings of metal. Upon its head was a Halo of the same golden metal which were accented by the robes of gunmetal gray and red that the being wore.
As it opened its eyes green lighting erupted out of it. With a motion of its hand this power shot through the air and struck those that found themselves in the midst of the onslaught with the enemy. Each of them rising from death when they could, or achieving death spasms when they could not.
Everyone, including Leandros, could easily tell what all the signs meant.
