Your partner tries to dodge, but even your warning isn't enough. The beam of light cuts through the darkness instantaneously, searing a hole in his jacket. He hisses in pain, his shoulder jerking backwards from the force. In response, he lets out a curtain of bullets that chase down his foe, tracking the saucer as it escapes.
<span class="mu-s">"HELLFIRE!"</span>
You don't see how many bullets make contact. You just keep looking for more threats. If any of them turn their full attention to you, Ryan, Pulsemon, or Gizamon, they could likely delete any of you without much issue. You need to stay vigilant and trust Astamon to handle it.
Vademon finally reappears by its assistant. It mumbles something to it, receiving a nod in response. The rage is still evident on its brow as it speeds away, leaving the minion to hover there in wait. The smaller Digimon starts releasing objects from its fingers, filling the space around its little grey body.
You need a solid plan. These two Digimon are unknown factors, and you know too little about what they're doing here, or trying to accomplish. With the room transformed into this strange, outer-space like simulacrum, you can't even see the door that Cutemon is supposed to be behind.
>Get Astamon to focus only on fighting Vademon. He's slippery, but you feel like a good strike will be enough to disable him. The biggest risk is getting outmaneuvered and having your time wasted, or being hit by some weird, unpredictable attack.
>Have Astamon go for the little guy. Whatever support it's providing, you want that dealt with first. Vademon also seems to get angry when its minion is targeted. If you successfully hurt it, maybe you could even lure it in and handle them both at the same time.
>Expend all your efforts searching for the door instead of giving Astamon orders or spotting for him. He'll also have to focus his energy on keeping them off you, while you try to find a way out of this strange dimension and settle the mission.
