If there is one you are partial to and/or can attain the player majority, then that will be the actual region you are in.
Note, the region and continent you are in, not the whole world. These are Almhorad maps and they only know of/have mapped this/these continent(s). You can of course travel off the map, but will need to find a new way of mapping or obtaining maps, if you do so.
Such as returning to your home ocean and regions there, or perhaps if there's some undiscovered continent(s)...
