“By the Lady, Lucian!” The Knight spoke as he raised his blade into the air, then quickly bringing it down upon a group of undead that were coming behind him.
Quickly Lucian placed his back towards the man, his scythe animated as to slay another grouping of the undead that were coming towards them. Willed by a mind that was not their own a grouping of Skeleton had rushed behind the reaped zombies in an attempt to get the advantage in speed. They too were cut down quickly for Lucian held the might of a Demi-God within his veins!
“Why-!?” Lucian could barely say anything more as he cut down another group that was coming, this one a mixture as two hordes were coming together to try and overwhelm the Knights of Bretonnia.
“I-!” Gillot was silenced for a moment as from the sky one of those massive monsters that they were facing came from above. Its sight clearly placed upon the two distracted Knights who were fighting. Yet it did not find purchase as the young Knight Errant sitting upon his horse raised a Lance against its descending body to impale it, “I am no coward!”
Lucian barely allowed the monster, now impaled, to even move upon the lance. He had felt their bodies and slew enough of them to knew to deliver unto them the clean bisection. He was quick about it, his scythe severing the body from the stomach down with a stroke of his weapon.
Gillot flung the body across the ground before once again focusing on his swordplay with the other hand.
Why were they together again, and in this pitched battle no less? Lucian did not need to question Gillot’s decision to fight for he must have witnessed Lucian’s attempt to fight. Yet the surprise he shared told Lucian that he charged because he saw a fellow Knight in trouble, nothing more.
Would he fight with him? Here the two of them were fighting side by side in a pool of the undead yet Gillot possessed a Bretonnian Steed! If Lucian could convince the Knight, the two of them could go anywhere within this horde without fear of repulsion!
