“You fools, you FOOLS!” The Necromancer shouted as the Grave Guard assumed their marching positions. The man reached forward with a menacing smile while gesturing at the monster that lay at their feet, “A wound like that does not simply bring down one of my creatures! Watch and witness as-!”
The Necromancer did not get another chance, collapsing onto the ground as a familiar Dwarf stood behind him. The Grave Guard turned, their skeletal expressions somehow conveying the surprise at the sight of their master being taken down.
“Now now, you all can go back now.” The White Dwarf gave a smile to them, “Give my regards to Grimnir if you see him there.”
It was then that Lucian felt it, the sudden fluctuations in the air as the magic was arrested. It was hard to describe yet it was what it was. Magic in all its forms was now nailed to the runes of the Dwarfs as the mighty gates of Karak Zilflin exposed the raised army of Dwarfs.
Before the eyes of Lucian the undead began to wither. Bone by bone the enchantments that were holding them all together being banished as the Dwarfs imposed their will upon reality. Those that had a mind went willingly, while the two monsters were now covered by a dozen Slayers each.
“Good job, both you.” The Dwarf said as he picked up the Necromancer and threw the old man at the two Bretonnians, “You fine fellows can keep an oath, right? Don’t mention seeing me. If you do it might get everyone too riled up before the real battles come.”
Gillot looked somewhat bewildered but spoke quickly, “I understand, a nameless warrior. You have my word!”
“Thank you, good fellow. I believe this is a kind of stained glory but you’re fighting got everyone distracted. Even the Zombies were watching.” He gave a chuckle before leaning a step over the corpse cart, “I’d like to see some valiant warriors like you two on my side when the time comes!”
And with those words the Dwarf dropped off the Corpse Cart, disappearing from their view.
