“I was going to talk you out of this, but what the hell? I enjoy the company.” Yeah, you’re back to your old habits. But this cool and aloof personality never suited you.
“Don’t back on your word, no man worth their salt changes their mind.” Marcela’s head turns to you lighting fast!
“T-That’s not a healthy viewpoint.” Seeing the errors of your ways is not a bad thing.
“Yeah, most guys I met aren’t anything like that. Still I thought you’d stand your ground and give an energetic Yes! or something.” Marcela is disappointed.
“What kind of person do you think I am?” You can’t picture what her imagination has in store.
“Knowing you tried to be a cook and you were a cop, I thought you’d be prideful. The you-can’t-talk-me-down type.” Marcela does not have the best image of people in your jobs. “Plus, being a disillusioned ex-cop turned detective narrows down the personality choices even more. But in reality, you’re just… goofy.”
“You took a moment to soften the blow and that’s the best thing you came up with?!” You cannot help but to be offended. Your job is serious! “Forget it, I don’t like talking about myself. Tell me more about that friend of yours, the one I supposedly helped a tiny bit.”
“Way to undersell yourself.” Marcela beats your ego and then cheers you up. She needs to make up her mind. “You recall a girl named ‘Fiora’? She joined our monastery after the cult was busted. Quiet girl, funny haircut, and loves her makeup. She had a hard time opening up, but we bonded over some, uhm, ‘out there’ hobbies. She’s like a lil’ sister to me, age gap and all.”
“Oh yes, I do remember Fiora. But I don’t recall her seeing me in a good light.” You recall Fiora throwing some of her handmade dolls at you once the arrests happened. The majority of the kids in the Orphanage of the Blue didn’t see you as anything but a nuisance that ruined their lives.
“Took a while for it to dawn on her what her guardian really did. She’s been dying to apologize to you for how she reacted for years now. You need to meet up.” Marcela smiles. “She’s too shy to arrange anything, so why don’t you take the first step?”
“You do know I have no idea where she is, right?” You thought they all hated you, so even if you did, why bother them? You’d only bring the trauma back…
“That’s what I’m here for!” Marcela wants this to happen. “First, we need to help Qiao tho.”
Suddenly, Vanessa bursts out of the bathroom!
“Salutations, everyone! I’m ready for our sugary trip!” Vanessa adjusts her (your?) pants!
V-Vanessa looks like she spends all day watching infomercials, like a slacker with no job!
“Lookin’ hot.” Marcela chuckles.
What do you do?
>You have a competition to get ready for. Time for your pastry making montage.
>Tell Vanessa she looks like a slob.
>Make an apology cake to warm up.
>Write In.
