>Confirm to M that this is the hour, and to stack the decks.
It feels weird knowing that an anomaly is going to breach and you can't do nothing about it. You quickly tap your microphone, ready to send out another message.
"Attention. All non-combatants needs to leave the first floor, unless they are assigned to an anomaly work order. Complete that first before leaving."
"Head of Security. This is the hour. Please gather all of the supplies necessary to stack the deck. Medical, you may select some employees to help with the incoming work you'll get. Godspeed."
Your employees care about one thing more than anything else: self preservation. It takes a while for the elevator to take all of them down to the other two floors but after all is said and done, the only people left on the first floor, aside from who you're assigning to work orders, is:
>Fighters: AK, Gamma, Delta, Cluwne, Monifa, Isabelle
>Medical Staff: Arthur, Emily, Seneca, Uriel
>Too injured to be transported: Felix, Zero
Various weapons are scattered on the floor, ready to be used when the anomaly finally breaches (firebombs, the IED, the E.B.O.W), alongside some of those Boiling Blood cocktails and the last Booster pill.
>Have the Detective taste RBA blood
It's hard to find something that went into RBA's room that ISN'T soaked in his blood. Vincent tosses one of his blood soaked shoes into the hole in the detective's chest.
The detective stands up. It cracks its shoulders as it analyzes the blood. Weird, usually it just lays on the floor in a heap. You didn't even know it was able to stand up.
"SUCH A SORRY CREATURE. WAR DOESN'T WORK WITH HONOR YET HE CALLS FOR IT. WHY? IS HE THAT WEAK? OVERCOMPESTATING, PERHAPS? GIVE HIM A BATTLE HE TRULY WANTS. SHOW HIM HIS WORTH."
The detective falls back to the ground, spitting out the shoe and entering its cooldown state. Vincent puts the shoe back on before heading out of the storage room.
>Have A give us his list of refinement candidates
You quickly DM the kid. There's no real need for formalities or other small talk for this one task, so you get the list pretty quickly.
"It could be literal or metaphorical. I think the most likely answers are Delta, Vincent, Talon, or Opal."
"Perhaps Lovecraft too? Though I'm not sure if a former D-Class counts as a 'valued' employee for the fortune it wants."
Hm. You're not sure if you want to risk any of those four's lives, but if you had to pick one? Probably not the ETF.
