>>5953941As Maza leaves the room, your ki focused out to sense others' ki, you feel an energy you'd not been expecting. From being out wherever the Heeters' base is, the four of them you can't actually sense from here, you wonder what he's doing. So, locking onto his ki you teleport with your Instant Transmission. Leaving Planet Yardrat behind, the world changing back to the familiar metal walls of the Lucrehulk. Arctus is standing in the giant ship's left arm, staring out into space. The moment you appear he whirls, drawing his azure light blade and pointing it at you.
“WHO-?! Oh, Karn! What are your doing?” he asks, deactivating his blade and hanging it back on his belt. “Just coming out of the blue like that, didn't think to send a message first?”
“Sorry, was just curious what you were up to.” you tell him. “A week ago you were by the Heeters' base, today you're all the way out here on the other side of the universe. Something big going on?”
“Yeah, you can say that.” he replies, brows furrowing. “Based on the patterns we've seen, I'm heading to where the next attack will be.”
“Darkseid.” you say, clenching your fists. That bastard need to leave your universe alone already. But Arctus catches you by surprise, shaking his head.
“No, not him. At least, I don't think it's him.” he replies, you raising a brow as he starts tapping on his wrist-mounted computer. “From the patterns of the attacks, as well as scanning across the detectable energy spectrum, we noticed something. Both of the planets that were erased both registered higher levels of a specific, unique radiation before vanishing. And, by cross referencing that energy across the universe, we have found two planets with that same energy signature. One of which is Namek, where Cooler is headed towards. That energy signature is far weaker, and much less likely to be the target. But it is a more important world, what with the Dragonballs there and all. While I am headed to the other. Not to engage, but to simply observe. And once the target arrives, I'll send the message to Lord Freeza and Lord Cooler.”
“An ambush? But won't this world destroyer notice?” you ask, Arctus looking slightly worried at this.
“It is possible. But if the Lucrehulk is destroyed, King Cold will receive an automated message.” he tells you. “Should anything happen on my watch, someone will know. We WILL know who has been disappearing the planets. One way or another, whoever has been destroying our worlds will be caught!”
