"Oh, I thought of a few more questions. Remember how I mentioned Liza and Seadramon?"
"Mhm." He says, while tinkering with the optic cable.
"Do you know what to do with his data? I managed to get it to her for safekeeping, but I don't know how she can actually make use of it. I was thinking of consulting you, but I forgot until now."
"Ah... Salvaging his data was the right choice. She can use that as a Digi-DNA sample. Leomon is quite a good pull."
<span class="mu-s">"That's it?"</span>
"Yes. Was there something else?"
"No... I was just wondering if there was a way to bring him back."
"Not as far as I know." He says, shaking his head sadly. "If I knew how, I would bring Kokuwamon back. But I didn't get his data either."
Solarmon rotates quietly from the far end of the room.
<span class="mu-s">"Do you think she'll be okay? When partnering up with a Digimon, a Digivice ain't a MUST, right?"</span>
"It certainly isn't. I've met a few people who didn't keep one with them. It's inconvenient, that's all. You don't have an easily-accessible partition to feed them and run essential code, you can't pull them out of the public eye, so on and so forth."
"And you can't Digivolve."
"Not in the way you two do. Now, I don't speak about my other clients often... But there are a few people who live out legal, average lives with their Digivices. The only difference between them and another puzzle-solver is that they have a Digimon to go home to. A little secret that keeps them from going mad with boredom. So maybe she could just find comfort in having a friend, even without a Digivice"
<span class="mu-s">"Really? And their Digimon don't want to go out and fight? Or get stronger?"</span>
"I suppose not. I don't pry, like I said. Or perhaps they have an alternate arrangement that helps them gain strength."
"Going back to Liza... There's the inherent danger of Seadramon being impossible to hide, right?"
"Yes, that's the only real thing she has to worry about."
That puts you at ease, just a little. Ironically, since Seadramon is so big, you assume that any risks are going to be immediately obvious to them. It'll be harder to do something stupid when she can't actually get her acquaintance anywhere.
