They watched for a moment as the Tech Priest slowly made his way over to the console and began to pray to the outlet that was discovered. For the Astartes in the room they all took up their positions to secure the Tech Priest in case whatever he was about to do would have been a bad idea.
The Astartes were of course those who had taken the front while the Skitarii balanced their weapons upon their shoulders. An odd formation for the Astartes to adopt but if it meant they had better fire support from the Skitarii that was fine by Captain Lorch. All he wanted was proficiency and all other things did not matter.
+Upon this moment, I make my connection.+ The Tech Priest said as a small click could be heard around the room.
There was a series of noises that began to come through in that moment. The moment the Tech Priest touched the network the lights around him seemed to be that ever bit lighter as he looked around. He was correct in that this place was sleeping, that they were within the bowels of a sleeping giant.
+Circumvent firewall and attain Internal Protocol. Protocol 192.168.1.1.255.1 is what I am. Port 563317 has been opened to network for the purposes of communication. Blessed be the Machine God for the connection between man and machine.+
Lorch looked around to see some devices that were near the wall starting to light up. The Tech Priest tapping into the network causing all around them to awaken. A moment later though and they once again began to dim.
+Safety Ritual attained, Radio communication severed to prevent outbreak. It is upon this moment that the Machine God grants us strength, for this vessel is ready to meet either one of his children or his enemy.+
In that moment the lights that were still capable of igniting lit up all around them. Though the Astartes maintained their aim at the doors, Lorch felt in that moment that the eyes of something were upon him. Though it was weird as the tingle came not from his gut, but from the ever burning desire for destruction that sat within his heart.
+Oh great and venerable Machine Spirit, I am Magos Dominus Tekar of Forge World Krumpus. It has been so long since you have last awaken, but I bring you news that humanity has arrived upon your planet once more to rescue you from oblivion.+
And in that moment Lorch heard what he was dreading this entire time.

+No! You are an abom-+ Before the Tech Priest could finish the sound of circuits being fried rang through the air.
