"Oh ho, he borrowed toys just for me?" Mr. Salt chortles. The badge has been attached to his bathrobe. "How kind of him. Really, it is!"
"Well, I guess so!" Bill responds with a similar laugh. The scales carved out of ivory are resting on the floor, a single bright orb on the left scale. Two bullets for his troubles. I hope you're right about him, Churchland. Salt's voice echoes, seemingly with no source.
Bill holds up the scales. "Alright, now, let's try something out. I'm going to ask a question and you tell me yes or no. Okay?"
"Sounds like fun!" The left scale raises up before going back down. "What question do you- HEY, GENTLEMEN! FOR THE LOW, LOW PRICE OF-" Mr. Salt coughs, clearing up his voice. "Why was I thinking about my shop again?"
"Actually, maybe I should make the stock better for that tall Admin boy. Get some stuff he wants, sell at a decent pric-"
Bill nervously laughs, trying to move on from what he saw. "Alright. Are you a man?"
"Nope!" The scale lowers down and after it does, a small crack forms on the orb. A pale teal light peeks through the cracks. Mr. Salt's smile wobbles as he begins to sputter and ramble. "Yes, yes I am!" The scale raises up. The cracks slowly start to reform.
"Huh, noted." Bill places the scales back onto the floor. "Interesting."
Mr. Salt grabs the scales. He slowly moves it from side to side, tossing the badge over to Bill. Bill puts on the badge and after a brief moment, his posture changes. "Hm. You know, maybe we should make a film about our lives one of these days. A...a..."
"Oh, an autobiography?" Mr. Salt fiddles with the scales "What an interesting id-" The scale slowly lowers. "...I'm not sure if that's interesting enough! We're just two old hoots, HA HA!" The scale raises back up.
"C'mon, it wouldn't be hard! We can talk to A-Company and rent some equipment. I can shoot it just fine." Bill speaks with an odd, pleased tone. Mr. Salt raises an eyebrow. "I didn't know you were into filmmaking, HA HA!" The scale raises up and back down.
Bill suddenly stops, looking down at the badge. "I...didn't?" Bill tosses the badge over to Mr. Salt. Salt catches it and puts it to the side. The two take a moment to look at each other before Bill picks up the sword.
"Ah, well. We can fix this to clear our heads. How about that?"
"Please."
ASPECTS REVEALED
>JUDGE (Damage done to the linked target, through lying or by outside attacks, will damage the soul directly. Damage done this way disables the target far quicker and bypasses most forms of protection.)
>GUIDANCE (Skills, memories, and traits can be shared between those linked by Greater Good.)
"Remember, give him his toys once the hour passes. Alright?" Bill is fiddling with the blade. Mr. Salt hands him a roll of duct tape.
