"Though this man has done much wrong, I believe he will be needed to help in the horrors that will be unleashed there!"
"What? How does he know that?" Serpico scratches his head.
"Blasphemy! Are you claiming to be a prophet while you let a criminal get away?" Farnese does not trust your warnings in the slightest. "This is the only chance we've had in years from catching this fiend, and you'll just let him escape?"
"To be frank, I am not sure if this alligns me to the best moral compass, but I hope this is an action I won't regret. If he really is corrupted, I'll be sure to bring him back to you, Lady Farnese." You rush to Guts' side and catch him with your hands, his heavy body being placed behind you as Gunpowder escapes the fighting grounds.
"After him! Don't lose sight of them!" Farnese also decides to run back after her horses, but given how they were all on foot and counting their losses, it would give you a few minutes ahead as Gunpowder sprinted amidst the forest.
All seemed well, until a crossbow poked against your neck, with a pointy dart scratching your back as Guts forced you to lose speed in your mount.
"I thought I've made myself clear. I'm not exactly on your side, whoever you are." Guts aimed a shorter weapon against you, seeing as he could not use his greatsword without being in top condition.
"Gee, That's how you thank a guy for saving your behind? You should learn some humility here, pal!" The voice inside Guts speaks out once more, but since turning around would probably cause him to fire, you're forced to wonder who else is with him.
"Shut up! This is between me and him. So you think you have what it takes to 'judge my character', huh? Well lucky for you, I can do the same to you."
"I'm not sure if that's the brightest idea, threatening someone who gave you some needed rest."
"Don't give me that crap. Nobody interrupts a scene like that one without having second intentions. Now tell me what you want with me, or else the last thing you'll be seeing is a bolt going through your mouth."
He has the wording of someone intending on hurting you, but his mistrustful attitude and irregular breathing shows that he has some doubts as to wether or not this is the best course of action.
I guess some added context would calm him down.
