You're promptly interrupted by the floor underneath you suddenly shaking like an enraged wasp's nest. The entire structure of the room you're in is twisting and shaking like it's about to rip itself in half. Most of your allies, obviously, eat shit and fall face first onto the ground.

Some of your allies try to speak but their voices are being drowned out. The only sound you can hear is a deep, heavy droning that shakes you to your very core. You can almost feel the liquids in your body starting to boil from the intense pressure.
And like that, it all stops. Everything is now back to how it was only a few seconds ago. Your various allies and associates are trying their best to recover from whatever just happened.
You feel an impulse to check the stairs you just came from. You rush out of the hallway and onto the staircase. You climb up towards the sealed entrance of B3. The staircase continues for a bit but abruptly stops right as you reach B2.
You glance up to see...a massive hole punched in from some sort of force far, far above you. It seems to stretch all of the way from the GROUND FLOOR to B5 itself at a bizarre 40 degree angle.
A strong burning stench fills the air. The old radio you used the hidden VERMILLION codeword on cracks to life.

[SEEKER OF THE CITY] Layers. They're talking about the floors. They burnt right through the GROUND FLOOR and B1.
[PERSON OF INTEREST] It's likely any possible backup that was arriving got purged by that beam as well.
[UNSTABLE] WE'RE GOING TO SURVIVE.
You scramble back down to B4 after taking stock of what just happened. "So! Good news, uh, there's probably nothing up on the two topmost floors anymore. It might've gotten purged."
None of your allies really know how to respond to that so you change the topic. "Anywho! Let's change those squads up!"
