"...Alright. I guess it's safe enough, then. Bottoms up, Mr. Lasombra." Ramza commands, tilting it back himself. Val reluctantly does the same after a moment's hesitation.
"So, this hunger." You turn to the Demon while the two digest their imbuements. "It's something that Mana can help with?"
"Yesss...and no..." The Demon locks its fingers together and settles its hands over its lap, taking on a serene posture. "We accursed ones...are forever hungering for that which constitutes our Amalgam. Mana is but one component we need to satisfy ourselves...and in the presence of thy mana-suffused blood, it overpowers those of lesser will or malignant disposition. Monsters, derived from animals, bear no will to resist the call of the hunger...but Demons, born of human stock, can resist the temptation to slaughter if recently glutted on a sufficient amount of Mana."
"Impressive that you manage to hold fast in such a dense city, then!" You applaud the demon's efforts, chuckling as you turn to your friends. They're clutching their heads, like the imbuement gave them a headache...well, that must be one more way that the great and mighty Gigas is superior to lesser men. "Are you ready for the scrying, my friends?"
"Urgh...yeah, yeah. Let's get on with it. Show us Felippe's greatest weakness, and his greatest secret." Ramza groans.
At this, the demonic being produces a bowl and taps its claw in the center of the empty basin. Pure, clean water begins to pour from the demon's finger, filling it up steadily until it very nearly spills over - only surface tension keeps it contained now. The demon lifts its claw up and out of the water, and a single drop of glowing blue mana drips down from it, impacting the water and causing ripples through it. Colors swirl within the bowl, and as the ripples settle, an image becomes clear as day...
You see a portly man adorned in more jewelry than you'd see stocked in most jewelry shops, standing in an opulent room of rich mahogany wood with gilded accents. Precious artworks of all kinds line the walls of this room, and displays are set up everywhere showing off a variety of artifacts. Felippe himself seems to be in the middle of setting something into place atop a cushioned pedestal, that being a vibrant and glowing crimson crystal, a shard that looks like it was broken off of something. Even through the scrying waters, you can tell that it thrums with power, and based on the sheen of sweat on Felippe's brow it must be giving off some amount of heat as well. He's quick to insert a key into the stand's base and turn it, causing a protective case to shoot up and cover the strange artifact. The vision seems to focus on that key as he pulls it out and, rather unexpectedly, lifts his foot up to insert it into a hole in the back of his shoe, where it seems to meld with it seamlessly and give no sign at all of its presence there.
