>'I suppose I did not completely understand it, if you say that the mere act of a soul persisting after death will cause impurities and Death to spread... then I must find another way. How about a way to pull them away from death's door at the last moment? Krina is working on Psionics, would pulling their mind out of their body before they fully ''die'' be considered Necromancy? My hope was to give them a choice between continuing on or continuing to fight, but I do not wish to accidentally create undead, as I thought them being in metal bodies would circumvent that....'
[ESKART] "..."
The Magic God stepped back, and he looked down, pondering this.
[ESKART] "You mean to say... to augment one on the brink. At Death's door?"
'Before they should be truly considered 'dead'.'
[ESKART] "...."
He breathed in and sighed.
[ESKART] "I must admit then, there's a certainty here even I could not begin to guess. I suppose, if done correctly, it may be possible to pull off..."
My eyes lit up at him, and I smiled.
[ESKART] "Yes, I do... suppose this would not be Necromancy."
'So there's a chance then.'
[ESKART] "It requires testing. But yes, I could admit to that much. However, you must know, it is very risky. Transferring the conscious may circumvent the absoluteness of dying, but the soul will migrate where the conscious goes, so long as it hasn't faded. It will detach itself from the Materia it was previously clinging to."
'Then if there is a chance, it may be worth looking into. If I can invent some form to be used to prevent Death outright with the miracle of human ingenuity and technology, I should think it's worth it to get on right away. In that case then, if you admit it can be done, wouldn't you be willing to look into it further with me and see?'
[ESKART] "The most I could do is help to provide ample means for containing the still alive soul. The methodology for which you plan to reintegrate a conscious is up to you... I guess I could help."
'Great! Then I'll have the others informed, you can handle the rest with them.'
[ESKART] "I just want you to know, if you are really asking my help with this, I expect you to not practice sustaining the Undead for any reason, should you stumble and create an Undead being. So long as the soul has not truly died, it will not create impurity and spread Death. But if your organization fails, then you must do well to ensure they will not try keeping souls that have died past their demise."
'I wouldn't think about it. Not if you truly are telling me that I should avoid Necromancy. You're the first one I'd come to if I lacked foresight on such things. I truly value your opinion, Eskart.'
[ESKART] "...Mm..."
He nodded, and looked away shyly.
[ESKART] "Whenever you should feel, tell your scientist to contact me. I will see about assisting a project then. In the meantime... I have business to conclude."
'Thank you, Eskart.'
[ESKART] "You're... welcome, Muna."
