>>5364362A brief refresher on the plan is definitely in order so you know that everyone's on the same page.
Although you've gone through this it at least once with everybody and as much as you're itching to get this whole thing over and done with, it doesn't hurt to go through the plan once again. That way, any possible hiccups will be minimized, since everyone will have the general outline of said plan fresh in their minds.
"Alright, everyone, here's the rundown of the plan..." You start to grab your comrades' attention. "First, we're going to go to the data center to destroy their computing systems with this--" You hold up the USB disk containing Eddie's code. "The data center is in a separate building from the main complex, but it will definitely be guarded like the rest of FutureLabs."
"Obviously..." Valjean glowers, rolling his eyes.
Pointedly ignoring him, you continue. "If we get that done right, we'll have destroyed all of FutureLabs' major computing systems..." And, if what Eddie was telling you is true, the five of you will have little resistance from FutureLabs' electronic security measures.
"Then we'll head to the containment center and release as many mutants as possible. We got Boleski's keycard, and I'm pretty sure more than one of us are capable of getting through those doors without it." You spare a glance to Bernard and Julia. "More is better, but the goal is to have most of FutureLabs' security scrambling while we look for Conduit."
"And if he's not in his cell like you think he is?" Valjean brings up the most prominent of your concerns. "Then we're going to have to comb the building, and, from what the midget was saying, FutureLabs isn't small, not to mention Atticus Charles won't be handling us with kid-gloves either."
"Last I checked, there were five of us, jackass," Bernard argues. "Kelpie and I did it, and we made it out scot-free." Well, that's partially a lie; in truth, you'd ended up with a bullet in your leg at the end of that jaunt, and, had you not had your regenerative factor, you would've been screwed.
"If danger, I kill..." Boleski says, eyes glinting dangerously. The look on his face tells you he'll definitely follow through with those words if things go haywire.
"Now 'that's' a good attitude," Valjean grins, pointing a finger to the winged mutant. "But if Conduit is as important to their grand master plan as we think, then we'll also have to consider that they might be a bit more proactive in keeping him away from the danger once they actually realize we're not actually there just to cause a prison riot."
While Valjean's been a douchebag throughout the entirety of the conversation, as much as you hate to admit it, he brings up some pretty good points.
"We'll just have to be faster than them," Julia says, fully certain of herself.
