You head home that day and celebrate the well-earned victory with a feast, and over the next week you use the prize money to help Harum's mother afford the treatment she needs. The very next day after she starts taking her new medicine, she seems to have improved drastically, now fill of energy and vigor. You give the rest of the money to Barbar, patting him on the shoulder as you do. He works best with unspoken communication, you've found, and he seems to get what you're saying without you even saying it.
The week after that, Barbar comes home with a new arm attached to him. It seems to have virtually the same range of motion that he would have with a natural one, so it seems like a pretty good fit to you. end up testing it with him later that night in an arm wrestling competition, which he handily ends up winning. At least you managed to beat Harum and Azalea, though, even with Azalea technically cheating by using her full body instead of just an arm.
With your purposes in the city now fulfilled, you decided that now would be time to make your way elsewhere. But, you must admit, it's going to be hard to just leave a friend behind...maybe you don't have to, though.
>Ask Harum to come with you. His knowledge of the civilized folk's ways could come in handy, and now that he doesn't have to worry about his mother, he's free to live his own life and explore the world.
>Promise to meet him again one day. You'll have a lot more stories to share with him then.
