Jon puts up his hand; the entire group becomes silent. The nervous spirit looks around, as if looking for something, and in the quiet it finally moves. Floating along softly, the spirit fades in and out of being, fragile and barely-there, like the wingbeat of a butterfly, before it pulls into a tomb. Slowly, it points towards an engraving on a large stone coffin, looks forlornly at the living, and then disappears.
<span class="mu-g">"...Something is written here. What does it say?"</span> Elly asks the two literate people in the group.
<span class="mu-b">"It says... Anna-Maria, Aged Twenty Two years, life tragically cut short by... "The Shadow"?"</span>
"Huh- THE shadow? Now that is curious."
<span class="mu-b">"Do you know what that is, Nasir?"</span>
"The Shadow is the name for a murderer. A serial killer who stalked this town."
<span class="mu-r">"Nonsense. Such a thing would not happen here."</span> Richard says.
"No no, not NOW it wouldn't. But this was back hundreds of years ago, when the mine was still open. Back then, Stoneshove had a different name and was much bigger, filled with fortune-seeking men and women of unscrupulous means and morals. There was a killer who attacked random women at night with a long knife, who they called "The Shadow". He killed four before he was caught. They broke him on the rack before they ended him."
<span class="mu-b">"Good."</span>
<span class="mu-g">"...It is very sad the spirit told its story, but is that all it truly wants? Or is it still stuck on the grief of being killed, even after their killer was brought to justice?"</span>
<span class="mu-b">"...Well, in the meantime, let's skip this tomb to not disturb her, and move on."</span>
