While victory was achieved the storms had not abandoned. Instead their ferocity had increased and terror it inflicted upon the unfaithful had become incredible. No longer was Particep Semper, the Omnissiah, simply wearing a crown of storms above their head. With the influence of the Chaos Gods stifled it quickly began to spread across the planet.
Such storms were easily caused as the Omnissiah began controlling time itself. Whatever storms Mars had had millenia before this moment were now resurrected in a cascade of carnage which threatened to destroy the foundation that the Mechanicum had built for itself. In time the water will disappear, returning to the timestream from which it came. In the current moment though it served as the herald of the Omnissiah’s arrival.
The Silent Legion, now that the vanguard of Chaos Titans had been defeated, quickly found itself with new allies. The storms that raged quickly awakened a new ally in the form of Legio Tempestus. One of the Titans who had fallen alongside was simply the first actor, a warrior who answered the storms that the Omnissiah brought to the lands. Now though they answered the call of the Omnissiah and came in Legion to support the coming assault on the Magma City.
So too did House Taranis. A house of Knights which had been loyal upon Mars even before the Emperor came to the planet under the false guise of the Omnissiah. There were few of them for the House had been sending hundreds of their Knights into the fray to try and keep down the forces of the Mechanicum. But however many of them remained did not matter for the Omnissiah accepted all of them.
And then, as those outside witnessed the deeds, a troop of Imperial Fists were sent without question or quarry to the command of the Omnissiah himself.
Finally, after weeks of travel, the Silent Legion came across the Magma City.
The city carried its namesake in form as it floated above a large pond of Magma. No matter how much rain came down upon this wound upon Mars it did not scab, instead staying lit a fire as they all looked upon it.
For the enemy they were starting to build up forces around the rim in an attempt to rescue the center of their foul sorceries. To save the tool which had caused the Schism of Mars. To cause the Night of Tears.
The Akushtic Reader. A device which was devised with such hubris that it exemplified the worst of the Mechanicum. Made by a fool who thought the Truth lies beyond yet they did not even bother to reach out to grab it amongst the stars.
It needed to be destroyed at all costs.
>Go for a full assault upon the Magma City, with Particep Semper in the lead
>Lead a strike group on foot to infiltrate and destroy the device
>Begin the Siege.
