>PIG MAN MERCHANT QUEST
My other quest I really wanted to run but never got around to for various reasons; a fantasy quest where you play as a pig man; a short and fat little merchant who can't fight but is really good at trading. The gimmick is you can't use any coins or currency to trade, because of religious or spiritual reasons; the pigs are the greatest merchants in the world but you have to TRADE for everything. The idea is at the start of this quest you see your expensive wagon burning in the village (this pic would be the first post) and you only get to choose to save one thing, and then you have to rebuild your fortune. I even had an entire creation-myth for this game idea in my head, basically a song describing what all the races wanted from the creator goddess, with the pigs being the most humble of all and only wanting to live the good life- this is why they're so lucky- but they can't use coins because coins are tied to empires and kings- which is a human thing.
I decided not to run this quest because it took like 2+ days to draw this single starter image and I didn't want to do any more. This is just an artstyle thing though, I may actually run this quest some day still because I think the emphasis on trading is fun. My favorite bit is the pig's rings which was a core mechanic at the start; you'd have one copper, silver, and gold ring which represent various levels of wealth that you can trade away. So the second prompt might be "what bodyguard do you want to hire" and you could hire a shifty rogue for a copper ring, an apprentice wizard for your silver ring, or a trustworthy but expensive half-orc bound warrior champion guy for your gold ring, etc.
