You didn't exactly have a wealth of knowledge at your disposal. You hoped it would do the trick.

Peeling away from your chest the tall girl rubbed her eyes. Towering over you she had you pinned, her eyes staring into your own. Her face softened, lips trembling.
<span class="mu-r">"Howdy."</span> a wide grin spread across her flustered rosy cheeks, you nod. Warm tears landing on your face, trying to blink them away the girl buried her face into your shoulder this time. Pain throbbing from your bite wound. "Maybe a tattoo could work? But I've heard they hurt."
You felt her hand climb up along your shoulder and onto your neck. Softly she traced the wound with her finger. "I'm sorry, I hurt you too. But this is better than any tattoo. You better not forget…" Slowly her tears stopped, her breathing calming and for a few minutes you both just lay there. Before long your own worries evaporated, your eyes began to grow heavy as sleep tried to reclaim you. "I need your help to remember." You muttered, trying to keep yourself awake. She stirred, resting her forehead against your neck, her voice husky with sleep. "Anything. I'll do my best." Her enthusiasm surprised you, but she seemed to care enough about you.
