One day, perhaps in ten years or maybe in a hundred, Adeline shall stand among the greatest of the shipwright worlds. It shall join an exclusive club of likes like Kuat, Fondor and Mon Calamari. It is an ambition you hold deeply in your spirit; Adeline must and shall be lifted out of galactic obscurity. One way or another. Perhaps you shall see these efforts realised in your lifetime, or maybe you shall get the ball rolling. But then again, your situation is more comparable to Mon Calamari, or Dac as the locals call it. Then with Kuat. Kuat was once a barren rock which was terraformed by wealthy merchant families. But the shipyards at Mon Calamari lay still at the moment, the Empire, as paranoid as ever invaded and suppressed the local population and damaged large sections of the orbital shipyards there. A premonition about what would happen if your planet became too valuable or dangerous to the Empire.
You snap out of your thoughts when you hear the roaring of a patrol of Tie fighters fly past your ship and a crewmember informs you that the yacht has been cleared for landing on Kuat city on the surface of the planet. Not on the Kuat orbital then? Well, you suppose that your high status is something that even the ten can’t simply ignore. And as your ship descended to the atmosphere you got a look at the carefully crafted artificial landscape of Kuat. With its great forests and groomed gardens.
Kuat city is like its orbital ring with elegant towers and spires that give the city a high-class appearance.
After your disembarkment you are greeted by a representative of the KDY.
‘’Kuat of Kuat is awaiting you in his office sir. If you would follow me please.’’
You and your party begin to split off as the various representatives and other members go off in search of their local counterpart. By the time you reach the office of Kuat of Kuat, only two bodyguards remain who will be outside for the duration of the conversation.
As you enter the office room you see Kuat of Kuat looking at a miniature model of an ISD before he turns to you.
‘’Ah yes, the Prince-Marquis of Adeline. I was told to expect you. I have been informed by my aides that you and your government are interested in the purchase of both several V-wing models and a production licence. While the sale of our remaining V-wings is acceptable the ten find the simple sale of production licence to something that must looked into with a more inquisitive look.’’
‘’Which means that you want a concession on the production licence’’ You said
‘’Exactly, KDY demands a sixty-five percent stake in the profits for every potential V-wing made at Adeline’’
Well, it's never as simple as you might think, is it? 65% of the profits of each V-wing rolling of a Adeline line would go to KDY. Perhaps you can make a counteroffer?
>Unacceptable, fifty fifty is fairer.
>Perhaps an additional purchase can act as a sweetener for a fifty-fifty split.
>Break of the negotiations
