"I simply joined the family business in my own unique way!" Lev finally steps back to give your group some much-needed physical space. "FEASTS was simply the company I decided to work for! They offer AMAZING benefits, sir; you really should join!"
A curious thought pops into your mind. You reach into your satchel again to find a certain pair of glasses. Lev watches on with that same, toothy smile.
"Is there another sample you wish to give me, sir?"
"No, no, I'm curious about something." In your hands now is M.A.D WORLD. "Mind if you stand there for a moment?"
"O-oh, t-t-those are s-special glasses. Vincent uses them for, uh, research purposes!" Lucy chirps out from behind you.
"I suppose there's no harm!" Lev gives you a thumbs up. "Go ahead!"
You slot them over your face. The world is immediately washed clean of all of its colors, leaving only behind sickly greys, bright whites, and pitch blacks. The colorful suit Lev is wearing is now the same tone as your grey skin.
The walls are revealed to be covered in those familiar antimemetic moths. They blanket the walls and ceiling in a thick layer of white fluff. They seem to notice that you can actually see them now. Every time you glance at them, you can see them nervously shaking.
You briefly look at Lucy and Anthony. While their clothes and skin have lost all of their color, as expected, there is something radiating around their bodies. Something you didn't quite pick up before during the previous encounters where you used these glasses. The best way to describe what's surrounding them is an 'aura'.
You can still see them underneath the aura, but it does obscure some of their features.
The aura hanging around Lucy's half-melted, amorphous body is a shade of dull pink with spots of dark blue speckled around her head.
Anthony's aura on the other hand is a deep, dark red with streaks of black painted across his body, with most of the darkness congealing around his face.
Interesting. You check on what Lev looks like through the glasses.
>100, 93, 9!
The first thing you realize is she doesn't have an aura, or maybe a better way to put it is that something is covering it.
It's not that her arms and legs are plastic, like you first thought. Every last single part of her body besides her gums is made out of plastic, nylon, or ceramic. Her face is the most convincingly human, of course, but it's as artificial as everything else. Her clothes are probably the most 'natural' part of her.
Then, as you squint, you can see something else. Something hidden inside that shell. Something squirming and twitching. You can see right through her, right through her body, and into what's inside her doll-like body.
Flesh. Raw, beating, twisting cherry-red meat. Her hollow, doll-like body is filled to the brim with chopped-up, torn-up viscera. The cherry-red meat doesn't have any real 'shape' to it anymore. It's only molded into something roughly humanoid because of the shell it is in.
