>>5500308And, for anyone curious, the idea for the basic gameplay is:
NovelAI works by writing out (roughly) one or two lines at a time. Then you can either generate more text, or personally write in something. This is the easiest way to guide what the next generated sentences are like.
For instance, in this example (pic related), I only wrote the opening to each paragraph: “The horse stables”, “Inside”, and “However”. And you can see how this helped guide what the AI wrote about.
Basically, players would be able to suggest a word (possibly multiple?) to be typed in, in order to guide the story in certain directions. Each player would roll a d100 and the word with the highest number would be typed in. Duplicate suggestions would be ignored to prevent spamming the same word over and over, and to encourage creativity.
The benefits to this system are that it could potentially lead to very unexpected results, and it could make the thread move forward very quickly. Plus, because it would all be a single, continuous text, it would be potentially easy for new players to jump in very late by simply reading the story thus far (instead of having to sift through a whole thread).
Does this sound like a potentially good premise for a quest thread? Any ideas or suggestions?
