>>6154558>“W-what the hell is that supposed to be?”“The Djinn Orb…” Nadia whispers breathlessly. “I-I’d heard a rumor that it drew its power from the spirit of a long lost Morfisian deity…but I had no idea…”
At that moment, the Djinn becomes aware of your presence. It glares through you and your party. Despite being unlike anything you’d ever seen, you could still tell from the Djinn’s face and body language that it regarded you and your companions as vermin.
“HUMANS! YOU DARE TO SPEAK IN MY PRESENCE? WHO ARE YOU? HAVE YOU COME TO OFFER ME TRIBUTE?”
>“I think you’ve got the wrong idea. We were just-”“SILENCE! YOU STAND BEFORE THE LORD OF THE DESERT! PROSTRATE YOURSELVES BEFORE ME, OR I SHALL GRIND YOU TO DUST!”
This thing was a Morfisian god? It reminded you more of a petulant child than it did a holy deity. Margo seemed to be under the impression it would kill you. The Djinn’s temper was on a short fuse, which was only natural after thousands of years of being stuck inside an orb. Has imprisonment weakened the spirit? Or was it still strong enough to be worthy of its lofty title and rank?
