>>5361373>Stay in the warehouse with Miho.Practice ends shortly after the tactics briefing does. People very quickly begin to filter out to enjoy their limited free time. Tankery unfortunately is a time-intensive extra-curricular, not leaving much time for anything else.
One notable exception is Miho. You find her as you’re shutting off the lights one by one. When you reach the lounge, you spot her just as you’re about to turn the lights off.
“Burning the midnight oil?” You ask, causing her to jump slightly.
“Oh Fritz,” she sighs as she realises it’s you. “You scared me for a second there. I wasn’t expecting anyone else to stay this late.”
“Neither did I,” you chuckle. “Though I suppose someone has to close the warehouse on the days I don’t.”
“It’s me most days,” Miho chuckles. “It might be hard to move but it is a lot of expensive equipment.”
“Definitely,” you sigh. “After we recovered Werewolf there was a break in attempt at the museum. No luck getting him started, but it happened.”
“I wonder if there are fences for tanks,” Miho muses, “pretty hard to move several tons of steel.”
“It’s possible,” you muse as you slump in a beanbag. You gesture to the one opposite you and after a moment, Miho collapses into it.
“Yeah, long day, right?” You say.
“You don’t know the half of it,” Miho groans. “Well, you do know half of it since you do it for me, but there’s so much more – I don’t know what I’d do without your help.”
“I’m sure you’d figure it out,” you reply.
“Maybe,” Miho doesn’t look convinced, but has decided not to argue. “It’s crazy to think just three or so more tournament matches, and we’re done for the year.”
