A few minutes later, you're standing against a wall, watching as Cutemon clambers up onto Bella's bed. Pulsemon scurries over to boost his little red boots up, allowing him to stand over his patient.
"And- we don't need any tools? Nothing?" She asks.
Bella looks as bad as you remember. Her skin is still fuzzy and warped, and the colors are splitting at odd points, creating flickering shadows of red and green above where the surface should be. Even the clothes that she wears turn out corrupted, with random triangular vertexes forming when she moves. Gazimon is standing next to her head, upright and alert.
"No," you reassure. "Cutemon here just needs time. I told you, didn't I? I'd find someone to fix you."
"If- if this doesn't work-"
"It will." Wind declares, his tone soft but firm. "Marnie, show him your leg please."
You roll up your pants leg to reveal the restored geometry. That's enough to strengthen her confidence.
"Okay... I'm ready."
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"This will take a while. It is a larger project than your friend. I will require silence."</span></span>
All of you try your best to keep quiet while Cutemon works. Everybody fidgets a little bit, except for Kaus Gammamon. He's standing perfectly still.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Yokunaol!"</span></span>
A burst of pink light emerges from Cutemon's hands. It begins spreading over Bella's head, and she scrunches her eyes tight. She squirms just a little, but Pulsemon immediately pounces on her wrist, holding it down. She gets the message and keeps still.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"How did you say she obtained this injury again?"</span></span> He asks.
Bella tries to answer, but he places a hand over her lips. Lips! You can see her features already. The process is working fast, her head and hair are immediately visible.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Not you. Don't strain yourself. Somebody else."</span></span>
"We were in the network," you explain, "and she... Got caught in an attack. Her data got damaged directly. Full-body."
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"Strange. Humans do not have a Digicore. I did not think your kind were capable of taking damage of that level across your bodies."</span></span>
"It was because we had to be converted into data to navigate the tunnels. But after that... I had to send her through a cable to rescue her, because she was about to break apart. And that, combined with the damage, shredded her outsides."
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">"A dangerous tool. Fortunately, this is not above my capabilities. It will be done."</span></span>
