“You should probably take the lancehead, right?” Lucian asked the Dwarf as he peered into the hole that seemed almost endless.
“You're going to make me walk in front of everyone in that muck.” Adok spoke in a tone that betrayed the literal meaning of the words, “Aye I probably should be. You Umgi do not know what you are looking for.”
“Yeah that's a really good idea.” Adolf said as he peered into the hole, “By the gods it smells worse than the sewers of Nuln.”
“The sewers of Nuln?” Adok repeated the words of the Noble with a raised brow, “I didn’t take your kind to be swimming in those places.”
“My line of work at the time required it.” The Noble addressed as quickly as he logically could, “They were dark days when I foolishly ‘renounced’ my birthright.”
“Something like that is not take easily in these lands.” Lucian said as the Bretonnian blood within him shook at the simple notion, “Even peasants know without our families we are but rodents to be killed by monsters. Are you even a Noble now?”
“I am.” The man shot back, “Before my Father died we made amends, and no one would question the right to Nobility of an Imperial Captain from Altdorf!”
“High and mighty are ya, in the lands of the highest and the mightiest.” Adok joked as he got out his hammer.
“Things are a little different here.” The Noble said as he took out a longsword that was roughly the length of his arm, “Do you want me to go next or should you, Lucian?”
“You’ll walk in front of me. Best we have the most armored defending the rear in case something happens.” Lucian addressed the thought while masking the truth of the matter. That being he did not trust this man at all even if he had a heartfelt story.
“I can do that~” He said without care while getting in order.
