For a single moment Vadar felt himself grow sick as he looked upon the happenings. Was this sickness something that he truly felt or that the alien minds of the Xenos all around him were growing into his mind. Maybe instead it was just memories the Emperor locked away coming up to bite him.
“Attention to all troops.” The Astartes started as he allowed his voice to be carried through the Vox Channels so that all could hear it, “Eliminate all that are not of the Mechanicum. We will not allow these Warp Creatures to live. In the name of the Machine God!”
With those words the fire quickly changed their lines of fire and struck at the creatures that came from the Warp. As Vadar expected the creatures seemed to shudder for a moment as their bodies were not completely aligning with the world the lasers were coming from. But the creatures fell all the same.
+Move Forward.+ Declared Vadar to his cohort as he drew his chainsword, +Clear the local area of Xenos and the field should start to collapse!+
With an unintelligible Battle Cry the Astartes and the rest of his brothers quickly crossed the distance between himself and the horde of xenos. His blade quickly sliced into Warp Tainted flesh before he opened the odd husk that was this warp creature. The next moment he felt his mind shift as another of those creatures looked upon him, but that too was cut down by another of his battle brothers.
The next few moments were a blaze of glory as they chipped their way through the battlefield with pleasure. Indeed a few more Astartes had lost their lives as they continued their frontal assault but the portal the Warp Xenos came out of was already starting to shutter as death came to the area. As for the reason why it was, Vadar felt it was less that it was being destroyed and more that the Warp Xenos found it less valuable to sustain that specific portal when they had many others spawning across the city.
With a moment’s thought the Astartes took off his helm and took a deep bite out of a Collective Xenos that appeared more important than the others that were being slaughtered. Quickly his mind switched as he knew what their objective was.
“Fall onto me! We travel north east!” The Reich Marshall declared as he slipped his helmet back on.
