Your human companions saw to the task wordlessly, their minds clearly on the events to come and ready to be rid of this pit. As they were carefully handling the last Elin’s body, you pulled yourself from the torture pit and saw to healing the other nameless Elin that you rescued prior.
Her wounds are not nearly as extensive, but paired with the effects of quicksilver poisoning they prevented her from fully regaining consciousness.
Following your spell, you gently prop her into a sitting position. The Elin slowly begins to regain awareness of her surroundings, and flinches away from you after she finally realizes your presence.
Her quickly touches her neck as she keeps a close eye on you, and quietly gasps after shakily probing the raw skin. “Where…” She peels her gaze to quickly survey the prison before settling her eyes back on your body. “Oh, still here…”
Beyond the matted short hair, she has a suspicious gaze about her otherwise homely features. Her animal ears twitch rapidly as she jumps at the noises your companions make as they transfer the other nameless Elin.
“Not for much longer.” You pull the tattered cloth away from your animal ears. “I’m Elewyn and I intend to help you get out of here.”
She’s quite on guard, so you keep your words to the point.
She sniffs and turns her gaze away from your body. “Quon. But I’m only telling you since you got me out of that hole, I guess…” The short-haired Elin notices the resting figure still on the sled next to her and sighs in disgust. “You had to go and get her out of there too.”
“Why wouldn’t I?” You carefully watch as she pulls herself way from Haruei. “Something I should know?”
Haruei’s panicked demeanor before she sustained her injury could have something to do with this Elin’s aversion to her.
