You deflect two more sword strikes, doing your best to preserve your SHELL's integrity. The guy in front of you is a way better fighter, but he's glued and has trouble breathing. Also, the lack of joints really helps you react to incoming attacks swiftly.
You feel tired. The last couple days were a non-stop clusterfuck with constant threats and fights. The monster part of you almost doesn't mind that, but then again. None of this has anything to do with video games! Yes, killing humans is an appealing idea, but you'd rather not Street Knight yourself again out of bloodlust. You take your eyes from your opponent for a second and assess the room again.
Rayle is wrestling a gun out of another soldier's hands, trying not to get shot point-blank. She seems to be lucid enough to follow a retreat order. Fuck it, time to see how quickly the snail guy can really move.
With all but one tentacles you grapple the soldier in front of you and spore directly into his face. He holds his breath for a bit but quickly goes down in a coughing fit. He'll be back into the fight as soon as the air clears, but ideally you won't be here by then.
With a free tentacle, you wind up your Stick and throw it directly at the Fed's head, right as he's about to crack snail guy's shell open completely! The Stick spins through the air but gets deflected at the last moment by the blade-whip! The weapon moves by itself as if alive, twisting to shield the wielder. The impact produces a supernaturally distorted CLANG as two magically charged weapons collide with enough force to push the human back a bit.
– "Snail guy, we're leaving! Rayle, help me with the glue!"
She takes in the room, hesitates for a mercifully short moment, then stops bludgeoning her opponent with the human's own gun.
– "Stop giving me fucking orders." She seethes while jumping to you.
Snail guy uses Fed's momentary distraction to shoot some slime under himself and glide the hell away at rapid speed! You have to admit, this guy has a respectable repertoire of goop at his disposal. Rayle gives you a one-horsepower pull, and with the help of your tentacles, that's enough to get you unstuck.
The three of you rush to the door, Fed in hot pursuit. His weapon stretching out, slicing off half the console on its way to you, but you simply quickdraw the Stick out of the arm hole of your SHELL and deflect the strike on your way out. Before rolling out of the monitoring room, you look for a big red button to hit, but most consoles in your reach are pierced by bullets, dented by impacts, or melted by acid. Judging by the sounds of battle outside of the room, you've already done your part well enough.
