>>5878398“I’m glad you liked it!” You were expecting more… But you can’t say it.
“Oh! This kinda makes me wanna sing!” Yu Yan claps once, and gyrates one of her fingers in the air. “Okay, fuck singing, I need an instrument! That redhead has to have somethin’!” Yu Yan bounces off the coach and enters her old room. You take the time to text the group to tell them that your couch will always be available for Suan De, and that she should consider it her new home. Anyway, Yu returns! “Fuck it, I can play this shit. It’s like a banjo anyway.” She has the rented violin in her hands.
“Not sure if that’s true.” You look concerned.
“Bah, what do you know?!” Yu Yan dismisses your worries.
“I’m the band’s manager.” You point out.
“That ain’t the flex you think it is.” Yu Yan chuckles. She attempts to play it and stops almost instantly. “Shit, I’m going to slice the strings. Plan B.” She throws the violin back to Ruby’s room. You hope it landed on the bed… “I’m gonna beat the table.” A lot of running around for nothing. “And it goes…”
Yu Yan starts humming and accompanying the melody with her rudimentary drum. The song sounds familiar, yet different, like something has been added that wasn’t there before, but it fits so well. This brings you back to a place you’ve never been, surrounded by the warm smiles of people who were lost through time, having a jolly good time. But something is amiss…
Despite all that, Yu Yan has been beaming this entire time, you’ve never seen her this happy since you returned alive after Judgment Day. She randomly stops playing.
“...We should keep eating.” Yu Yan realizes that this is kinda rude. Her smile can’t be wiped.
