“That bastard was supposed to die, consumed by the fires of Broly's double Event Horizon blast.” Chilli says after a moment of silence. “His death was ordained to be there and then. Jergal told me that reviving him broke his destiny and made him a Fateless, just like you Dad. But, having him and you both splintering our timeline constantly would have been an absolute disaster. The Supreme Kai of Time would have had even more reason to erase us, creating so many new timelines off of both of your choices. So I did what I had to do, and fixed my mistake.”
“I wouldn't have called it a mistake.” you reply to him gently. “Hell, I never even thought to check and see if he survived that attack. Plus, it's not like we could have just moved his body out of the way before you rebuilt the stage. If he was caught by that blast, there's no way there was anything of him left.”
“But if I'd have thought ahead more, I could have done something else.” he says, you walking over and placing your hand on his head. “If I hadn't revived that moron, I wouldn't have had to kill him.”
“Fixing your mistakes is fine, doubly so if it keeps that damned Kai off of our back.” you tell him. “For a moment I thought you were just going around killing your fellow Saiyan over the bullshit he pulled against you. There aren't enough of us to go to war with each other, we have enough enemies.”
“I won't.” he says, then with an almost sad look adds. “That's another reason for me to say with Megumin on her world for awhile, instead of coming home. “Let his friends forget I exist, so I won't have to fight them to the death as well.”
“I got it!” Milha suddenly exclaims, holding her tome in her hands with her eyes gleaming. “I figured it out! Daddy, you ready?”
“Just a moment. Got to get dressed for it.” you reply, taking a couple steps back from Chilli and Megumin and turning to the cabinet. You undress, taking off the uniform you'd brought from your own timeline off, donning one made here in this time. Then once you're suited you turn back towards her, then walk into the center of the room, bracing yourself. Whatever she's 'figured out', no doubt it will be unpleasant to be on the receiving end of. But you can take it. Right?
“Curse Magic: Secarutempas!” she shouts, thrusting her right hand at you. And everything becomes pain. Blood explodes out from you, filling your vision as the sheer pain drops you to a knee. But you refuse to fall.
