>>5366475Taking a few seconds to think it over, you briefly considered splitting up to cover more ground. While the idea has some appeal to it, you'd rather be certain the security floor was out for the count.
"Let's get rid of security first." With the five of you together, you can take down the floor in one fell swoop before they can even call for backup.
Taking the lead, you come to find that the first floor is very quiet– almost too quiet, in fact, save for a few administrative rooms and a staff kitchen. Even if you don’t sense anyone, sans the receptionist Valjean just put to sleep, you still are on your toes, if only for the fact that this is still FutureLabs.
“If they have all this incriminating data, shouldn’t they be protecting it a little better?” Valjean seems off-put by the lack of interference thus yet. “Then again, most data centers these days are largely automated…”
With nothing but the sounds of your footsteps pounding across the halls, the atmosphere quickly descends into a tense one. Like Valjean, you, too, are surprised that you’ve met nearly zero resistance. Then again, not only is this place neck-deep in FutureLabs’ facilities, but the only way it can be accessed is either going through FutureLabs’ grounds or by sea; and, even by sea, the back of the place had been blocked off by a large, metal fence.
