TalOS looked over at the stern face of his son as he fed the drink through his modified lips, +I have seen you on some records my son, you are in the upper percentile on performance. Captain Kosk has placed a note on your records that you have the potential to move towards being a Lieutenant. Such recognition is hard to gain.+
+Thank you Father.+ Answered the Astartes as he gave a bow, +It is my honor to be drinking with you. I did not know if you would have taken me in.+
TalOS could not help but give a small shake of the head, +You are simply blessed by the Machine God to have caught me at the right time. You are my son though, and when the chance comes I will not deny any of you an audience.+
+Thank you Father.+ The Astartes said as his eyes shifted to the Steel Wardens who were standing at the nearby walls in attention.
Hesitation was in his eyes, but TalOS noticed there was shame there too.
+I am here to talk to you about our genetic disorder, Father.+ In the end the Astartes went out with the most forthright of words as he spoke, +I have been talking to my Battle-Brothers and how many of them have longed for a combat.+
+So the desire for destruction has grown?+ TalOS asked as he settled with interest.
+It has not, but it is becoming harder for many to bear. It stays tamed but as we close in on a year without battle it has been taxing.+
+Why did you bring this to my attention at this moment?+ TalOS asked as he wondered to himself for a moment, +Mitarii AL4N should have heard your words before me.+
The Astartes looked upon his lap as those words cut through whatever reason the transhuman thought of. TalOS raised a hand to keep the Astartes from speaking his words as that reaction was all it needed.
The Astartes felt shame for such a defect and did not wish for word to reach the Acillians. He did not wish for them to have an excuse to see the Astartes, a foreign breed of Transhuman, as lesser than themselves.
>It is time to issue some Emotional Suppressants.
>We will need to look at the Astartes genome, modifications will need to be made.
>Give them a planet and let them ravage it for a day.
>Stick the Astartes on the Deck Guns teams. Since they get satisfaction through action, they will enjoy that.
