You turned away from them and kicked Epona up to speed. You were just wearing your normal clothes, but you did have the Cinder Sword by your side and you did have your magic, you weren’t defenceless and you could always ride away as even if orcs are fast, they aren’t as fast as horses.
Riding and following the tracks, you saw one of the Scout Towers you had built to watch the King’s Road to your far left. The orcs had started to follow the road north, making their best speed away from Sofera’s Naze and Dawnholme towards Alterac. You weren’t sure how far they were, but you had a good idea that you would catch the trio before you would enter Alterac Proper.
The mountains grew taller as you entered the valley into Alterac. Your patrols often walked this far and the Falcon of Alterac fluttered in the wind as they had erected the flag on a pike as a deterrent and to mark your borders. Riding past it, the gentle uphill that you had been going up leveled out and you saw the trio of orcs in the distance. Immediately you recognised one of them, they weren’t Blackrock remnants nor Frostwolves.
You had to get closer so you didn’t slow your speed and the orcs now noticed you as well. Approaching them, they decided to stand their ground as their leader hefted his large axe and spoke something to his escorts. Within a shouting distance, you finally shouted to them.
“I am Prince Alric Perenolde, the ruler of these lands!” You shouted and continued.
