I think you might be forgetting the "hills drain all your remaining movement" part. And if you're asking for my advice, red and orange have 50% chance of you killing the berserker and having a -1 on your centigors and a 50% chance of your centigors killing a thrall and dying. The red guarantees you kill a thrall and from there, you should be able to ride past the battleline if you want to.
