As the light of the sun baked upon his skin TalOS felt the flow of energy cressing his skin. As if to prove his own theory he felt pleasure at this. It was a human pleasure, such a feeling that TalOS was getting more and more intimately as he felt his life creep towards oblivion.
As the light tapped upon the assembled brains and limbs TalOS felt the change. The brains were reacting to the flow of the motive force and going into them. Some were more pronounced than others, while a few were simply duds which gave nothing.
Thus was the beauty of this experiment. What about these brains give the ability to convert solar energy into pleasure and reinvigoration? Sure TalOS knows how light dances upon the skin and how the heat of that is what it does, but that is discounting the existence of souls and the Motive Force.
One would bring about an old Terran tale about the man and his people who lived in a cave. How they all lived in a world of ignorance until one of them escaped. If TalOS was arrogant he would have agreed wholeheartedly, but that is not how TalOS got to this point!
TalOS was standing upon the shoulders of giants! The knowledge he holds is knowledge that was generated by the greater Mechanicum taken in the lens of a Genetor. While TalOS could create magnificent works of techno-artistry he did not bother trying. Because TalOS, being a Genetor, did not know the most advanced mysteries that someone like his friend Arch Dominus D3X employed when he crafts a perfect Bolter.
What was happening here was TalOS finding a new branch of mysteries and understanding. He had discovered the divinity which so many cults within the Mechanicus were in search of. The Cult of the Micro Omnissiah was right, the Emperor was not the Omnissiah, and they were correct in that the smallest point in understanding will reveal it to them.
Where TalOS and they differ was that he was seeing all of it. The Motive Force flowed through everything and the Omnissiah, the point of ascension, was somewhere among how the stars and atoms flow about the galaxy.
That is why TalOS tested the brains like he is, for that is how a Genetor would examine the problem. As he studied though TalOS could not help but notice the Servo-Skulls that floated around him were also basked in the light of the solar phenomena. He could feel their resistance tighten and will grow stronger with every millisecond of contact. They were raised up to a point though, but TalOS realized his feelings had not stopped.
TalOS gave a hearty laugh as he looked upon the star in realization. He was too busy preparing and engaging in the experiment that he forgot his entire worldview and state of existence had changed. No longer should he make assumptions about his personal existence.
The Primarch decided to stay there and meditate, feeling out both the sun and himself.
