The one who had been spearheading the research into Aeldari was Magnus the Red, for he wanted the knowledge that they held. It was through Magnus that it was understood that the Aeldari currently used vessels known as Craftworlds to travel across the galaxy after some kind of event.
As Magnus explained it, the Aeldari recently had their entire empire collapse due to some psychic event that he has yet to fully understand. It is for that reason that there are two identified factions of the Aeldari, those who used these Craftworlds and those that were referred to as the Dark Eldar.
This identification was confirmed when reports from the newly made White Scars had run into a Craftworld. Normally such craft would have ran from the expedition but this one had decided to hold its ground against the skirmishing White Scars.
When news of this was received by TalOS through the supply line which fueled the White Scars, TalOS had given some notification to Magnus. The two of them understood it well enough that this might be the only time they would be able to pillage an Eldar Craftworld without the vessel leaving for the Warp.
Word was given to the White Scars to hold them down and within two weeks both the Thousand Sons and a detachment of the Proelitor had arrived within the system. TalOS decided that while the Blackstone Fortress would be useful it would harm his brothers, so instead TalOS decided to get permission from Malcador to bring the Null Nobilite to the field for a real test run.
Just as all of this was happening and the gathering of the Generals was to be held, another fleet had come into the system. These were not only friendlies, but they were the Blood Angels much to the surprise of everyone involved.
TalOS wondered if their appearance was truly a coincidence or something that Sanguinius planned to specifically do. He did not deny them councilship though as even with three Legions present none of them were at their full capacity. Against a foe as unknown as an Aeldari Craftworld, and TalOS was happy to welcome the angel to their ranks.
It was decided that they would meet upon the recently retrofitted Onus Probundi, TalOS hosting a conference of the Imperial Generals upon the Mechanicum Flagship.
