The Greater Daemon was getting angrier and angrier with every icon they destroyed. His voice gave a low rumbling as he finally began to rise, “You creatures are destroying this divine sanctum of the Plague Father. If you are not going to roll over and die to my minions, I will need to act myself.”
Everyone knew that this was going to happen but the Pariahs felt feat as they watched the severely obese monster get on its legs. It was clearly a monster of some other reality as such stubby limbs were still held it upright. The creature then bellowed as it reached into its gut and wrenched from it some mucus slob of biomass that could barely be described. He then tossed it, sending the projectile into the direction of a null who welcomed it with their sword.
The Daemon looks surprised as their attack did not make contact with the Null. Instead the membrane he sent forward seemed to shrink before harmlessly scattering itself across the refractor fields that all the Pariahs were equipped with. He gave a mighty roar of anger as he pointed at his target.
Within an instant many of the dead that were following everyone else ceased and ran at this single person. Quickly any escape was taken away from the woman, right before they broke her guard and began grabbing her from all sides. She tried to break free, shattering several limbs but these were all replaced with others.
The last thing she saw was a giant monster that slammed its bell on top of her head.
With every Pariah lost was another soul no longer punishing the existence of the Daemons. The Daemon himself surely knew this and was the reason that he walked across the room after each and every one of them. They were in a slaughter house where they were at the whims of the butcher’s gun.
In this case it was his bell, Quintin noted as he sunk a series of bullets into a score of plague walking men. He noticed that they, along with the rest, were turning towards him so that they may end his life.
He will not die easily though.
Every step the Great Daemon walked which shook the chamber, Quintin counted five undead creatures slain to his name. He felt the Machine Spirit within his sword singing as he parried and disemboweled a daemon that was coming up towards him with a joyous laughter in his voice.
