You’ll find a way to unbind her armor and prolong her life, somehow.>Everyone deserves a chance at a long, and happy life.“Did you not mention you sought immortality to berserk again, an unstoppable soldier?” You ask. “Was that really true? Because I can’t say it very much sounds like it.”
“I thought it might ward you off. But it did not.” Emilia lowers her voice. “..I.. don’t want to fight anymore. I know it’s pathetic for one of my stature to run, but.. it’s all so tiresome–wearing this armor, swinging this sword. I want to find somewhere nice, and quiet, and sunny.. I want to go home. I-I want to paint again.”
“..I see.” You grimace.
“And now I’m stuck wandering an endless battlefield, lugging this armor around, cutting down monsters indiscriminate, just like always.” She laughs bitterly. “I came here for the chance to find solace and peace, and now I have to fight to live, just like before. Isn’t it like a cruel joke?”
“Well, I believe that everyone deserves a chance at a long and happy life.” You kneel by her. Your pride as a noble won’t let you abide by this sort of injustice. “I’ll work with you as best I can–find some way to unbind that armor and prolong your life outside of this dungeon. You have it on my family name as a VON GUNDYR. I will help you.”
“What?” Emilia stares. A long moment passes and she averts her helm from your gaze, her face a shade more pink than prior. “I.. I will believe it when I see it.”
