“GYAAAAAAH!!” your momma screams out in pain, pushing you to the point of tears as she tries to bring your new sibling into the world. Your father whispers something to her as she clutches onto his hand for dear life, the good old doctor man trying to help her from under the sheet over her.
'Focus on your breathing, yes good. You are doing well.” he says, but she can't be doing well at all. You walk over around the bed to the other side, your mother clutching onto the metal bed post. You then climb up onto the bed beside her, wrapping her in your arms and hugging her head.
“You can do it!” you try encouraging her, holding her tight. But as she screams out again, this time even louder it shocks you so bad you let go on reflex, falling backwards off the bed to the ground. “Waaaah!”
“Are you okay?” your father asks, but not immediately coming over to check on you. You stay where you'd fallen for a moment, stunned as you'd fallen onto your tail.
“I'm okay.” you call out, shaking off the momentary stupor from hitting your tail too hard and pushing yourself back up to your feet. “Daddy, can I go? I don't like seeing Momma hurt like this.”
“Of course.” he says, reaching out with his free hand towards the door, you hearing something clank in it. “Just walk up to the door, it'll open for you.”
“Thank you.” you say, turning to the door and running towards the door. But before you've left, he calls out after you. “Don't run off too far, don't leave the island, okay?”
“Oooookaaay!” you call out, running to the door. And, just as he said the door opens, sliding into the wall. You stand there and marvel at it a moment, but another painful scream from your mother sends you scurrying outside. As you run, the door sliding shut with a hiss behind you, you then realize that this is your first time you've ever been left alone in Grandpa and Grandma's house. And you have no idea where to go. “Uhhh, hello?”
But as you call out into the empty hallways, no one answers your call. You look left, then right, both curved halls empty, no voices answer. So, you decide to just walk to your left and start opening doors until you find someone to talk to. And with your mind made up you start walking, your new boots your Daddy'd gotten you last week from the funny-sounding blue hair man here on Grandpa's world making a loud sound with every step.
