“Because she knows in which room my sister was locked in!” You create a convoluted story for this woman to swallow.
“He gets lost easily!” Vera adds to the ridiculous excuse.
“Is this sister of yours even real?” The woman wants reassurance that she’s not going to make a bad decision.
“She’s this tall, her name is Ame, and she has a weird obsession with bears. Total loser. Can’t let her die though.” You describe your small sister as charitably as possible.
“Ugh, I hate bigger siblings.” The staff woman walks away. “You may pass. And survive.”
You and Vera enter the stupid elevator…
“I swear you have the power to make everyone act dumber when you’re around.” Vera doesn’t like it.
“That’s nice, you think everyone was smarter before they met me.” You don’t drop anyone to your level, they’re already there. “What floor?” You ask.
“Huh, I don’t know, it goes backwards. I don’t see him press the button. We need to go up to check.” Vera disappoints you with her ability.
“Any guesses? I think his office is on the 5th floor. Just a hunch.” You shrug.
“Go for it.” Vera doesn’t give a flying duck as long as you move on.
You press the button, then have your eyes glued onto the phantom recording… and luckily, you nailed it. Phantom Ayde goes into the elevator here. You find it odd that he seemingly came alone, but you don’t think it’s something worth pointing out. Vera is overjoyed with this stroke of luck, she would ALMOST forgive you for the fire alarm stunt you did in the mood she is in… She doesn’t want to admit it, but the only reason this place is deserted was because of it, so you take the credit for all of this.
