With a single move of his hand the display before them began to change and mutate from the image of the late Saint and become that of a solar system. A good chunk of the picture was blank but most of it gave the view that the men of the Mechanicum wanted to know.
TalOS brought forward his finger and tapped a planet, “The Mitu Collective have reinforced their core worlds. It seems that whatever heresy broke out among their kin did not have a grip upon these planets. Likely there was some form of heresy but as this is the central nexus of their entire administration they had wiped out those forms of dissent.”
With that said, TalOS made another swipe at the screen. The jester was not needed, but was part of the ritual of operation. The Sanctus Dominus brought before his council five planets.
“These are the heart of the Mitu’s Empire. From the scans we have determined that they are all innately psycho kinetic. If the Blackstone Fortress was not present we would have been facing down against psykers at their very strongest. Now though, it is reasonable to presume that they will be as strong as standard space.”
Upon those words communications were sent out, each of them containing some form of thought on the coming fight. Once again Eretis of Xana spoke his thoughts without fear of reprieve, “It will take two months for the First Fleet to be present for the coming battle. Such operations cannot be sped up lest we fail at xenocide.”
“If we wait it will give them time to build even more defenses of sorcery. While we siege the systems it does not prevent information from reaching the ears of their leaders. The Mitu will know of the Blackstone Fortress’s capabilities and be preparing for it.” Prime Magos Dominus Pterraxi placed forward.
“Then it will depend on the rate in which they can manufacture troops and their armaments.” Magos Dominus Sicarian said as he leaned in to focus on the planets, “We do not need to defeat them. We need to defeat a large enough force upon their planets to engage in an Exterminatus Bombardment. Otherwise we will waste too many of the Machine God’s resources.”
>We got in for the fight right now so that we cannot truly prepare.
>Wait for the Mechanicum to completely gather. Then it can be hit with all of those resources.
