They all looked around the warrens with inquisitive eyes and scanner systems. One of the Nulls were equipped with a Auspex, the Machine Spirit within the device operating perfectly as the influence of the Warp could not touch it. They were followed by a series of Cybernetica robots that were each equipped with a Psi-Sensor, but for the better part of the force it was the Nulls who were taking up the fight.
“Two on the right, standard rounds.” One of the Nulls said into their coms unit that was located within the helmnet.
“Weapons?”
“Knives.”
“Clearing.” The fellow who was responding quickly left the group and looked to see two adults cowering in fear. Their clothing and tattoos mark themselves as followers of the damned ones and traitors to humanity. He let out a series of rounds into the helpless foes that could not even stare into death.
Such occurrences were happening at all places within the sewers. Like a ghostly wave of destruction the Null Nobilite reaped the souls of the damned. None were safe from the wrath they sought against the traitors.
But Quintin knew that there were not only traitors down here as he got a ping from a nearby Datasmith, “Lord, Psi Ratings are increasing and concentrated. They approach.”
The Lord Nullifactor nodded as he prepared his blade, “The Denizens have found us, let us show them terror.”
Upon those words he watched as several creatures routed the corner into their view. Mass concoctions of flesh bounded the corner in a gross display of unearthly might and dark fervor. Quintin said a prayer to the Machine God as he wielded his blade and charged down towards the creature with the rest of his House.
The mass that were the Spawns of Chaos did not know where the Blanks were coming from, for no longer did their eyes work. Thus they were woefully unprepared as several swords sliced into their flesh. Many of them tried to attack, finally knowing where their foes were, but the flesh wounds they suffered were the least of their worries.
The Chaos Spawn dropped upon the ground as the Nulls ran forward once more, with the Robots following behind them setting alight the things that did not belong in this reality.
