>>6300931>Justinian the ScarredTapping a solid and pure ingot of iron as they travel, the prospectors of Barza set out across the land, running down rumors and old maps as they go. Luck, and geomancy, are with them on this day and they find a hidden valley where a natural cave leads them down a winding and narrow path to a sizable seam of iron. Earthshakers work carefully to widen and reinforce the path and soon an industrious mine is in place.
A magic map, an ancient key, and the word of a frankly hapless goddess are little to work with, but comparing the map to those recorded by Vitruvian roc riders does show it be a true location, in the frozen north of Urotti! And of course the question of where the moon’s cloak could be is the greatest question of all. Given the fury of the lunar goddess and the presence of what seems to be actual cities on the moon’s surface as it draws closer Justinian may need to work fast to avoid whatever calamity is brewing.
In a pleasant change of pace missionaries find themselves meeting pilgrims traveling north, following Turban work crews. Apparently a road is being built to facilitate pilgrimages to the Basilica! Missionaries guide many of the Khurnaire people on their way, and soon the practice spreads across the land, with even the occasional dwarf holding a worn and weathered holy book arriving in Barza. It’s hard to even say how it made it to the far north!
Inquisitors on the other hand make their way to the south with grimmer business on their mind. There is little to find in the open unfortunately, though Lord Mana does gleefully saddle them with a band of hunters being sent into the cursed lands that keeps their hands more than a little full keeping both themselves and their companions alive against the predations of that dark place. At least the monsters there are obvious about it, more than one inquisitor voices the opinion in private that Lord Mana seems to be more intent on feeding the cursed lands with hapless hunters than purging it.
